Activities of School of Vedanta

According to Swamiji, School of Vedanta is the ultimate surrender of his life.  In fact the school of Vedanta begins at the place where at least two persons can sit peacefully and contemplate on the Self. It could be a solitary spot, a quiet house, a temple, or a meditation hall. Anchored from the school, ativities are presently concentrated in the following areas.

Vedanta Satsang Groups

The idea is to start small Vedanta satsanga groups and gradually to expand them into places outside Kerala. There will be satsangas every month based on great philosophic texts like the Bhagavad-Gita ,Upanishads, Yoga sutras, Dharmapatham, Atmopadesasatakam, and Darsanamala .The authoritative texts of Zen Buddhism, Sufism and Taoism will be taken for contemplation and Self enquiry. Along with the satsangas there will be classes on meditation to ensure the well being of the mind and body.

Vedanta Sadhana Camp

This is a much deeper and expanded form of Satsanga Groups. This can be a full time or part time camp with a duration of single day to 15 days. Rigorous training on meditation and 'dhyana' will be the order of the day along with the teachings on Vedanta. The seekers also get an opportunity to clear their doubts during the session. Individuals, institutions or corporates can organise such camps.

The in-house publishing house of the Asram, One World Publishing house has more than 10 titles, most of them works of Swami Sudhi and Narayana Guru.

School of Vedanta will be conducting pilgrimages to different divine places of India. Sadhanas and Satsangs are part of these pilgrimages. These trips provide a unique rendezvous for a heartily union and sharing for the seekers.

This is the Vedanta School for the adolescents. Sadhana classes for the children between the ages of eight and fifteen are conducted at School of Vedanta every Saturday which infuse high spiritual values to the character of the budding citizen.
